Book a fantastic, fun-filled, educational school tour for your class! 

    

 

 A Viking Splash School Tours is a great way to see the sights of Dublin – both on land and water! Traveling on board our Amphibious World War II vehicles you are taken on a spellbinding tour of Dublin. Our cast of local guides will ensure you not only hear the history of Viking Dublin but also pass by key landmarks and sites. With the climax of the tour sees you splash into the water at Grand Canal Docklands.

A Viking Splash School Tour has a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes on average, and are available during school term, Monday to Friday only.  

School Tours generally depart from Bull Alley Street, where there is coach parking. Occasionally, based on tour schedules, we may move your departure/drop off point to St Stephen’s Green.

GAA Museum & Stadium Tour

Bring your students on a tour of two key areas in Ireland’s history, Dublin city, and Croke Park.

For a jam-packed day of interactive learning combine a Viking Splash Tour with a visit to Croke Park.Through light-hearted commentary, your pupils will learn about key landmarks in Dublin city while on tour with us.

Followed up with a visit to the GAA Museum at Croke Park and walk in the footsteps of GAA heroes throughout the ages. Your students will get to visit the dressing rooms, players’ lounge, VIP area and pitch-side.

Dublinia

Experience the ultimate Viking day out, combining a Viking Splash Tour with a trip to Dublinia. This combination will offer your students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the Viking culture.

After your tour of Dublin city where your students are guaranteed to walk away with a smile, take the short walk to Dublina. Here you will learn about life during the Viking and Medieval periods in Dublin. Explore how and when the Vikings came to Dublin on board their Viking warships.

 

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

 Infuse your students day out with a visit to a museum for the digital age, and a tour around Dublin city in a historical WWll amphibious vehicle.

With more steps being taken towards digital learning, EPIC has 20 interactive galleries and explores global Irish history and identity from many different angles.

Whether your students are interested in politics, science, art, and design, fashion, engineering or sport the museum caters to a range of interests to ensure a truly engaging experience.

 

Glasnevin Cemetery and Museum

Combine a Viking Splash Tours which is a fun-filled and engaging guided city tour with an informative and interesting visit to Glasnevin Cemetery.

Following a 75 minute tour around Dublin city on both land and water, visit Glasnevin Cemetery Museum which offers exciting and engaging tours for learners of all ages! See Ireland’s History carved in stone. All school tour bookings also include a useful learning pack and access to the indoor museum.

 

 

Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship & Famine Museum

School Tours

Allow your class to enjoy a unique tour of the re-created Jeanie Johnston and what it would have been like on board a wooden tall ship during the Famine era. Followed by a tour of Dublin city with commentary from Viking Splash’s hilarious cast of local guides.

The Jeanie Johnston experience will convey a deep sense of history and will be a memorable experience for all. Once on board, visitors are transported back in time 150 years or more to join the poverty-stricken Irish emigrants as they boarded the sturdy ship for the difficult transatlantic voyage and uncertain future in the ‘New World’.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Combining a Viking Splash Tour with a visit to St. Patrick’s Cathedral is the perfect day out for those who are cost-conscious.

Your student will experience a fun-filled tour through Dublin city with Viking Splash, followed by a choice of either, a self-guided visit, a guided tour, and/or a workshop in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. St Patrick’s Cathedral offers a wealth of learning opportunities ranging across the school’s curriculum from Medieval Ireland and The Reformation to workshops on Stained Glass Windows, Art Architecture, Religion, and Music.

 
Aviva Stadium

After a thrilling tour on land and water, you can then bring the class to the famous Aviva Stadium.

Go backstage on the Aviva Stadium Tour where an experienced guide will show you around the iconic sporting ground that is the home of our national rugby and football teams. Offering an exclusive trip to areas usually reserved for players while providing an engaging insight into the stadiums rich sporting heritage.
